Bournemouth has over 12 kilometres of sandy beaches, making it a popular holiday destination. The town itself is a mix of mainstream shops and quirky little beach-front amusements. Bournemouth has a very lively atmosphere and plenty of bars and Students recommend Cameo Night Club and Aruba Restaurant and Bar as two of the best places to go to. Bournemouth is one of the best South Coast seaside towns for night life w variety. The  university also has it’s own  student bars which offer low priced drinks and themed nights.

Besides the mainstream shops and stores there’s also a lot of independently run shops offering styles and fashions for every taste. Most of the retail shops and pubs and restaurants are reasonably priced and lots offer student discounts  so don’t forget to asks, remember your money has to stretch as far as you can make it. This website has taken a lot of the effort out of searching around by keeping up to date with local student friendly businesses and entertainments which cater for students and always have regular student offers and promotions running.

Poole is the location of the university’s main campus, and although the town is slightly smaller than that of neighbouring Bournemouth, it is a hub for water sports, including wind and kite surfing.

The nearest station is Bournemouth, which is well-served by a number of mainline stations and is also around 90 minutes from London.

Bournemouth has an excellent reliable local bus service for town hopping and the taxis are reasonably priced.
